Thanks to the WIT mold we designed, we successfully manufactured a part that would not have been feasible with conventional injection molding techniques. The accordion structure not only made the part flexible but also facilitated easy assembly. Receiving an award for this innovation fills us with pride.
In June 2012, at the SPE Automotive Division Awards held in Burscheid, we won the Grand Innovation Award for our drainage channel, which stands out with its complex three-dimensional structure. This innovative product was molded using Water Injection Technology (WIT) and produced from polypropylene (PP) instead of glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide. The secondary water pressure phase used in forming the two flexible bellows is among the product’s noteworthy features.
